The new comedienne
There are actually a few things needed for gracing the cover of Vogue. If you're not an Academy award nominee, a super model or an actress with a new contract with a fashion designer you have to be funny.
If so, the usual criteria of being drop dead gorgeous seems to be just dropped i.e. Tina Fey and Lena Dunham. Don't get me wrong I think its great that Lena covers Vogue. However, the styling is horrible and why do it have to scream "hey I'm a comedienne all over" with the weird pose just giving it an alibi that Lena is not what I've listed in the beginning of the post. Although a great choice, but even so, I can't help wanting to just skip February to see what's on the March cover. I hope it will be something great. With Lena, they're just doing good.

It's all about the GIRLS
Sources says that Anna Wintour once again chooses a young talented woman, sorry GIRL, on the cover on the February issue of American Vogue. This time its Lena Dunham who is practically everywhere right now promoting the third series of her HBO hit GIRLS. On the premiere party earlier in New York this week Anna was seen smiling to the cameras, next to Lena. A good sign when it comes to landing big covers.
However wouldn't it be even more appropriate with Lena gracing the cover of the important march issue - the power issue. That would really be a step forward for Vogue, making a pretty brave choice.
